Does anyone know if there's a technical name for the rectangular box, in most magazines, that lists things like the editors' names, subscription info., who to contact for advertising, etc.? kgantz@cup.portal.com

According to Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, masthead is defined as:
2. a) the printed matter in a newspaper or periodical that gives the
title and pertinent details of ownership, advertising rates, and
subscription rates.
2. b) the name of the newspaper displayed on the top of the first page
So, "masthead" is it.
