Each month we release two new shareware fonts for Macintosh and PC users
though our website. The latest one - just released - is Perigord.
Perigord is sort of a mongrel, but I think it's very attractive. It was
partially inspired by Guttenberg's capitals and by lettering developed by
German designer Ernst Bentele, but its calligraphic antecedents go back to
French initials of the Carolingian period. The result of this is a
formal, attractive and antique look which we hope you'll like. The full
version includes many alternate letter forms for a varied, calligraphic
look.
You can download and try out Perigord from our featured fonts page on our
main website at http://www.ragnarokpress.com/scriptorium.
