Modify SGML declaration conveniently?

Hello,

I would like to modify an SGML declaration so that everything is
equivalent to the default except that I want to change a feature, namely
DATATAG to YES.

Is there a way to do this in a more convenient way than re-typing the
whole declaration? (I use the sgmls parser.)

Thanks,

Christine
