Does anyone know of some good sources of information
on the HyTime and DSSSL standards? I am currently
working on a project which involves processing an SGML
document, and am researching the best way to specify
such things as format and application specific information.
The goal is to allow the author to use their own DTD
with as little modification as possible.

My current plan is to require a core set of attributes
which would be used by the processor to identify element
types. The format information would be maintained in
a style sheet which would be merged with the document
during parsing.

I have been told that the HyTime and DSSSL standards
are very relevent to this project. Any information
on these standards, or suggestions on how to best
achieve my goal would be much appreciated.
