Earl Mann, Wavo Corporation - News Markup Language (NML)

The News Markup Language is designed to
capture the knowledge of the newsroom and
store that knowledge digitally. It would, for
example, designate what is the lede; what is
the nut graph; and what is a parenthetical
aside. There's also a demand for a tag that
marks "58 paragraph narrative ledes that back
into the story." Once that information is
captured, it can be used to quickly and easily
produce a wide variety of products.

B. Tommie Usdin, Mulberry Technologies - How XSL Works

Are you interested in the new Extensible
Stylesheet Language (XSL) but don't know
how it works? Do you want to use XSL but
don't know where to start? This presentation
introduces XSL to people who have not used it
before. Through simple examples, it demonstrates
the basic concepts of XSL, the structure of
stylesheets, and how to produce both HTML
                and formatted output.
