Dear SGML Users Group:

The next meeting of the Washington Area SGML Users Group
will be held on Wednesday, March 18, at 7:00 p.m. Meetings
usually last approximately 2 hours.

The meeting will be held at the American Geophysical Union,
2000 Florida Avenue, Washington, D.C. Public parking is available
across the street or you can take the Metro and get off at the Dupont
Circle Metro stop. Our host is Jon Sears from the AGU. For directions
to AGU, point your Web browser to: http://www.agu.org/directns.html.

IMPORTANT: The doors at AGU are locked afterhours. Someone is
at the door until 7:30 to let people in. If you arrive
after 7:30, please wait a few minutes and someone will
            check the doors periodically.

I am really exciting about this meeting. We have a great
panel of people who will be discussing/debating the topic "Are
DTDs Necessary in XML?". I have already received a few questions
to ask the panel. Please bring your questions with you.

This is the first time we have tried this type of forum and
I am hoping that it will be meaningful, useful and informative to
everyone.

        Our Panel Members Are:

Joe Davidson, Microstar - Also a member of the New York SGML Forum.
Barry Schaeffer, Information Strategies
Tommie Usdin, Mulberry Technologies - Tommie was also the Chairperson
                                      for SGML 97.

Unfortunately, Bob Barlow, SAIC, won't be able to make it. We are
trying to get a replacement for Bob from SAIC.

Hope to see you there.

The parking garage across from AGU (Atlantic Garage - South) is closed. I
have contacted Atlantic, and they say that they should be able to
accomodate us at their North garage, which is located on T street, across
from the Hilton.

Directions:

>From Connecticut Avenue north of AGU, make a left onto T Street (1 block
before Florida Avenue). Drive one block, the entrance to Atlantic Garage
North should be on your right.

>From Connecticut Avenue south of AGU, make your first right after Florida
Avenue onto T Street. Drive one block, the entrance to Atlantic Garage
North should be on your right.
