I would appreciate some help on printing .dvi files on an HP laserjet III printer with postscript cartridge installed. The .dvi file is the output of a simple LaTeX file (sample.tex). When I use dvips to convert it to a .ps file and route it to the printer, the printed output is grainy. In contrast, when routed to a NeXT 400dpi printer, the printed output is beautiful (as expected). I image this problems has something to do with the fonts that dvips uses, but I don't know where to start to solve it. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.
