The man pages of bibtex say that the program is supposed to use the paths in this environment variable when searching for bib files. But my program seems to not want to look anywhere else except the current directory despite my clearly mentioning the location of the bib files in the variable. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, can you suggest what I may be doing wrong? Ranjit
