Anyone got a working tangle on Xenix (or system V)?

I have gotten the TeX82 distribution from uunet and have gotten
Ctangle and friends to compile. I am having problems with getting the
web-2-C tangle program to run successfully (It compiles fine).

Whenever I run tangle on any web files I get some error messages about
lines of the change file not matching, and then a segmentation
violation when "Writing the output file" that happens in
flushbuffer().

I need to get tangle to run so I can get MetaFont and the other
programs to compile (I am assuming that web2c will run fine on the
tangled output).

Anyway, if anyone has gotten the tex82 web-2-C stuff to work on Xenix
(I'm running 2.3.2 on a 386 box) or Unix System V, please tell me.
Meanwhile, I have gotten it to work using commontex (The C rewrite).
