Hi!, I was wondering whether somebody might be able to help me out with the generated of ticks and crosses that I would like to use within a table. I have searched CTAN and could only find symbols which related to maths, physics and the other sciences. I know that I have seen the ticks and crosses generated before, but I just can't remember how it is done. I know that a \surd looks very close to a "tick" but I was wondering whether anybody knew of a package which could generate a proper tick and a proper cross. Thanks in advance for any pointers received.
