🚀 go-pugleaf

An up-to-date catalogue of TeX and LaTeX tools and packages (mostly
available on CTAN) is now available. The catalogue contains entries
for most LaTeX (and TeX) packages, as well as many TeX related tools.

The current version of the catalogue with generic links to the Walnut
Creek CTAN mirror can be found at

The catalogue is mirrored by CTAN worldwide in help/Catalogue. For
example, it is available from the US CTAN mirror at:

  <URL:http://www.cdrom.com/pub/tex/ctan/help/Catalogue/catalogue.html>

from the UK CTAN node at:

  <URL:http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/catalogue.html>

and from the German CTAN node at:

  <URL:ftp://ftp.dante.de/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/catalogue.html>

The HTML version contains brief descriptions of tools/packages and
links to their location on the local CTAN.  Links are also provided to
formatted documentation (currently Postscript and DVI) wherever it is
available. The HTML catalogue is about 300K in size.  A gzip'd version
is also available (it is about 30K - Netscape, for example, supports
gzip'd files):

The source database is contained in the file catalogue.db (using
BibTeX) in this same directory.  The browseable HTML version is
derived directly from this source database. 

The catalogue is regularly updated.

The CTAN versions can be up to 48 hours behind (depending on which
CTAN node you access - some mirrors are even slower).

Contributions, suggestions for improvement, comments, and corrections,
are all welcome!
