Some LaTeX user (not necessarily of Guru status) must know how to do
this:
I'm using the standard article style.
I'm using the \maketitle command (I'm quite sure, properly).
If I include a \pagestyle{empty}, it removes (as desired) all
of the page numbers -- EXCEPT that it leaves a page number on
the first page ! I'm fairly sure this is caused by the
\maketitle command, because when I comment this out, the page
number goes away (as does the title :-( ) I've also tried
throwing in a few more \pagestyle{empties} around the
\maketitle command, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
So what's the trick ? How do I get ALL of the page numbers to
disappear ? (I'd still like (if possible) to use the \maketitle
command, and NOT have to "hack up" the title myself).
Thanks in advance,
.
