Help,
I would like to be able to rotate eps figures which have been included
in postscript using epsf.sty.
The macros I use for the eps inclusion is:
\newcommand{\postscript}[2]
{\setlength{\epsfxsize}{#2\hsize}
\centerline{\epsfbox{#1}}}
\begin{document}
\begin{figure}[htbp]
\epsfbox{file.eps}
\end{figure}
\end{document}
I have used rotate.sty for rotating tables in LaTeX successfully,
however had trouble with figures.
I would have thought this would be ok:
\begin{document}
\rotate[l]{\begin{figure}[htbp]
\epsfbox{file.eps}
\end{figure}}
\end{document}
Error: Not in outer par mode.
This seems to indicate that I've used a figure environment in math mode
(according to the manual). How do I escape math mode so it will proceed?
I thought this was decided upon by LaTeX except when math mode required?
I have also tried putting an mbox around the figure but LaTeX complains.
Is the problem that I'm in the wrong kind of mode? I know that rotate.sty
requires a box. Perhaps I will need to modify the rotate.sty macros?
If the error if obvious to somebody out there or any other pieces of advice
, please help.
Thanks.
Mark.
