Having played quite a lot with cweb modified (slightly) to output Java,
I must say that in my case writing Java is much quicker than writing C.
That is because I make lots of mistakes,
and these are picked up much more easily with Java.
The mysterious nervous-breakdown inducing problems,
leading to divorce and drug addiction,
that C throws up don't seem to occur with Java.
That's just personal experience, of course.
