Possibly:

  From: spqr@minster.york.ac.uk
  Newsgroups: comp.text.tex
Subject: pk versions of common PS fonts in emTeX .fli format
  Date: 26 May 1993 14:36:40 GMT

Ganesh Thiagarajan and Anthony Venson (gany@rtpc01.eng.lsu.edu and
andy@rtpc01.eng.lsu.edu) have taken the time and trouble to repackage
for emTeX the .pk versions of common PostScript fonts which Karl Berry
put together using GNU font ultilities. These let you preview
documents which use PS fonts. Ganesh and Anthony have documented this,
and provided a revised lj.cnf file etc. The files are stored on
  ftp.tex.ac.uk in

     pub/archive/systems/msdos/emtex/psfonts
			       emtex-fonts/psfonts (28-Nov-93)

and will propagate thence to other CTAN hosts.
