Blue Sky Research offers discounts for purchases of TeXtures, the imple-
mentation of TeX for Macintosh. A single copy costs $495; 2-4 copies reduces 
the price to $400 each, 5-9 copies to $325 each, and 10+ reduces the price 
to $275 each.  Prices includes a copy of Donald Knuth's TeXbook and a User 
Manual.

I am interested in forming a group of ten or more people who are interested
in buying TeXtures.  Once the group is formed we shall all purchase TeX-
tures at a reduced price of $275.  If interested, for now, please send your
full name, e-mail address, and a day time telephone number to Babak at
mahbodb@techbook.comm. Once the queue of 10 is full you will be contacted
via e-mail. I will repost this notice every month and a half.  Hopefully,
we will be able to form a group in couple of months.  If the group can not
be formed in three to four months  individuals will be contacted via e-mail.
I rather have 10 or more people, otherwise, the effort does not justify the
end.  

If still interested, what follows is a summary of features of TeXtures:

 1.  TeXtures provides a built-in editor for documents of any size.

 2.  Includes a WYSIWYG  preview window that displays the finished typeset
     documents along with graphics in proper relations to the text.

 3.  Pop-up magnifier in the preview window that allows up to 8X
     magnification.

 4.  You may place Tiff, PostScript, Pict, or Paint images in your
     document.

 5.  Includes version 3.0 of TeX, and passes Knuth's "torture" Trip test.

 6.  Includes 75 Computer Modern Fonts along with font metrics.

 7.  Uses all PostScript fonts.

 8.  One may read and write DVI files.

 9.  Supports all TeX macro packages, e.g. SLiTEX, LaTeX, and AmSTeX.

10.  InitTeX integrated into the package, and thus allowing users
     to create their own macro packages.

11.  Prints to any PostScript device, ImageWiter, StyleWriter, Laser-
     Writer SC, and DeskWriter.

12.  Can be used with any Maciontosh with 2MB RAM and a hard disk.

13.  Also avialable at additional at an additional charge are Computer
     Modern PostScript fonts, and MetaFont.
