Help with Utah .dvi driver compilation in 'C'!

I am having problems with the pd source for the dvijet.C from 
science.utah.edu.  I am able to compile this successfully and link it also,
but when I try to run the program, I get as far as opening the font files
(I am using all PK format fonts) and then get one of several types of
errors, either a bad pk fontfile error or font xxx has a checksum error and
it always ends in a fatal()bad pkfontfile.  I'm sure the problem is in the
typedefs for the various values of int, long, unsigned, etc...  Does anyone
out there have a good understanding of the basic function of the dvidriver
family from utah?  I hate to keep bothering Nelson Beebe because he has
been so much help already!  Just thought maybe some of the 'C' wizes out
there would be able to shed some light on this.  BTW, I am compiling this
on an Atari 1040ST using Laser-C.  Any help would be appreciated!!
