These groups are the closest I could find to a general word-processing group, so I hope this is appropriate. I have RTFM, but this seems like a dumb feature that should have a work-around: There does not seem to be a way in Word 5.1a to place a footnote marker at the end of a section without causing the next section to be shifted to a new page. For seemingly no reason at all, 'No Break' is defined to shift the new section to a new page if there is a footnote marker at the end of the last section. Is there a way to place a section break after a footnote marker without forcing the text that follows onto a new page? -dp-
