Hi,
I have been trying to find somewhere a representative bunch of
similar texts, but don't see such corpora on the internet.
So you know of any collection of regular language collections of
texts written by many different people on a topic?
Thanks

I think you'll have to explain a little more clearly what you're looking for. Also, while it's possible that this question is appropriate for the other NGs to which you've cross-posted, it seems unlikely to be germane in microsoft.public.word.docmanagement. -- Suzanne S. Don't know exactly what you're talking about, but: Project Gutenberg: http://www.promo.net/pg/ They have enough texts to choke on. Bill Penrose

Let's say you make students write essays on a topic, of course (and hopefully :-) ) not all of them will write the same paper. I need copies of these types of student papers. WHere could you get them? At gutenberg you get lots of different books -from different author's- I crossposted this message to pertinent groups, I think.

There are *many* on line newspapers, in many languages form many countries. You could select out all reports of football or even all reports of a single match. All reports of the Iraq war would produce megabytes of text.
