Whell, it could be as you say (a variant of the WHALE), but it would
be rather surprising, since the Whale is an old one and from a viral
point of view... an unsuccessful one.

I find it hard to believe that someone will use this as a base virus
for modifications. Did you considered the posibility that you have a
case of several viruses infecting togather or mabe one that infects
files more then once ?

Call me on voice sometime and I'll try to determine the nature of your
virus.
