help with port from XUI to Motif

I apologize if this is not the correct newsgroup, but I'm pretty new to the
GUI arena.

Does anyone have any experience migrating from an DECWindows environment using
the XUI toolkit to an environment using the Motif 1.0 toolkit?  If so,
could you please tell me how easy/difficult the migration was?  Is it the sort
of thing that is fairly easy to automate using sed scripts, or will it
require alot of manual intervention?

Any help would be appreciated.  Please respond via e-mail as my current
schedule does not allow much time for reading the net.
