I have been using a Colorado Jumbo 250MB drive _fairly_ happily for several years with Central Point Backup V7 (the manual says V7, the About box says V1.2 :-? ) under WFWG3.11. My problem is the 120MB tapes are too small for my newer disk drive. I have seen larger tapes which fit in the same drive but will take 800MB. The problem is that my software cannot be configured for tapes larger than 120MB. My question: What software should I get to be able to use the larger tapes? The scheduler part of Central Point Backup is vital to the way I work, so any replacement software would also have to have automaticaly scheduled, unattended backup. I don't subscribe to this group, so please copy replies to me via mail. Thanks David Gibson Microconsultants (Aust) Pty Ltd

I have beeen looking into this. There are some people in Australia
selling this via the net, and I have seen a simular thing in Harvey
Normans. From Harvey Normans you can buy the first tape (with
software) for $90 and get extra tapes for $60 (these prices are from
memory). I have seen the tapes advertised on the net (from Australian
companies) for $80 with software but haven't seen them advertised
without software. I can send you the addresses of the ones I have seen
on the net but I havn't dealt with any of them myself and would be
interested in finding out how it goes as I have the same type of drive
and was thinking about trying out these new tapes. See ya

I can supply them, with software, for $60.00 + COD, or $500.00 + COD for lots of 10. If you prefer to pay by credit card, I can do that also, but will need to add 4% (instead of COD charges). They are made by Verbatim, and include Arcada backup for Windows. Arcada Backup for Windows 95 also works fine with the tapes.
