missing PIF files

I apologize if this question has been raised before.
I just installed Windows 3.0 and Windows SDK on my 386 PC. According to the
SDK's installation and setup guide (p. 3-5), the SDK includes the following
PIFs: MAKE.PIF, NMAKE.PIF, AND PWB.PIF. The installation of SDK did not copy
those files to my harddisk, neither can I find them on the SDK distribution
 disks.
Would someone please let me know where these files are or what are the
parameters use in setting them up.
 Thanks you.
If you can reply to me via email would be the best. There seems to be a week
to 10 day delay between the time an article is posted to its availability on
 our machine.
 Aileen
