I have tried to the following two ways to do so.

(1).	use rx.exe to get resources from .exe file and use ico2bmp.exe to
		translate the .ico file into .bmp file! (I only tried the first
		step!)

		Where to find them:
		rx.zip- a reverse windows(TM) 3.0 resource-compiler
			ftp site: 	ftp.cica.indiana.edu (129.79.20.84)
			directory:	ftp/pub/win3/programr
		ico2bmp- read an icon and extract colors to BMP
			ftp site:	same as above
			directory:	ftp/pub/win3/icon

(2).	use rx.exe first and then use imagedit.exe from Microsoft C/C++ 7.0.
		open the icon you just have and open imagedit.exe again without
		quitting the first imagedit.exe.
		Choose new bmp format from menu bar on second imagedit.exe.
		select the 32x32 rectangle and copy it on first imagedit.exe and
		paste it into the second imagedit.exe.
		Well, you will get the .bmp format on second imagedit.exe.

That's what I know about it.
BTW, does anyone know how to convert the icons from Macintosh into ones on 
MS-Windows or reverse!
