The RS-232 communication protocol was also mentioned in Greg's article.
I have some questions about RS-232 and Windows. I know that pure DOS
requires an add on RS-232 software package (for example the Greenleaf
CommLib) to be able to do any kind of useful communications. Is this
also true for a Windows application? Does the Windows environment
provide for RS-232 or is an add on package required?

Thanks
