Undocumented windows calls for DPMI?

Does anyone have any details of undocumented windows functions for DPMI? I'm
working on an application which needs to call real-mode functions from protected
mode windows. I'm currently trying to use assembler routines to call int 31h
as per the DPMI spec, but it doesn't work and it's doing my brain in :-)

If anyone has any hints at all on how to get this to work it would be much
appreciated.
