I don't know that this is the official way to do it but I did it and it
_seemed_ to work...

	dwStyle = GetWindowLong(hWnd, GWL_STYLE);

	if (dwStyle & WS_HSCROLL) {
		// Do whatever...
	}

	if (dwStyle & WS_VSCROLL) {
		// Do whatever...
	}
