Windows 3.0 font problems

Hi! I'm having trouble getting some special fonts to work within
windows. I'm creating them with the font editor in the SDK, and then
"compiling" them as described in Ch 18 of the Guide to Programming.
The problem is that they don't work when added to the control
panel - they cause it to hang or get "unrecoverable application
termination" or the like. Any ideas? FYI, the font is a very
simple 24x24 fixed spacing symbol font.

Thanks in advance for any help.
