The WINDEBUG.DLL file that comes with windows v3.0 looks specifically for a OS version number, and only runs under v3.0. Borland licensed WINDEBUG.DLL from Microsoft and the problem followed. Borland did put up a new WINDEBUG.DLL on the windows 3.1 beta testers forum on CI$, but the b/t's are not allowed to distribute it. :( [The above was explained to me by a friendly winbtdev sysop]. Soo... there *is* a fix, a new WINDEBUG.DLL. When will it come out? Dunno. I would definitely expect it in the windows v3.1 SDK, to ship in 4-6 weeks. It will probably be in the w3.1 update from Borland as well, shipping in 4-6 weeks (sigh). I have heard a rumor they may release a quick update, containing a new windows.h file (implib it yourself I supose) and a updated WINDEBUG.DLL. This is just a rumor however. -- parik rao prao@bluemoon.ucsb.edu
