I am aware of the WinExec function. It is capable of calling an DOS executable from windows. It does switch to text mode, execute the program and then returns to Windows. I want to have something better, is this possible? - possibility to make DOS program invisible (Windows keeps visibile, no way to see DOS program is running) - redirect DOS output to some file for postprocessing - even better DOS program in parralel with windows program interpreting its output. Has anyone ever investigated such thinks. It would enable integrating DOS tools (e.g. all kinds of filters) into windows programs etc. Nico de Vries ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- USENET: nevries@cc.ruu.nl FIDO : 2:281/708.1 (very new) VOICE : +31-3404-24931 (+31-30-316931) FAX : +31-30-312033 BBS : +31-30-341401 (Nico De_vries) COMPUSERVE: (comming) MAIL : Hortensialaan 45, 3702VE, Zeist, The Netherlands IMPORT StdDisclaimer, MyPersonalOpinion; - O Place reserved for Complaints about my spelling to DEV/NUL please. | funny joke.
