Microsoft C tech support told me today that C7.0 would include the
SDK, but the people who have the 3.0 SDK don't get a break on the
upgrade price.  We pay the same as people who didn't have the SDK,
but did have C6.  To make it worse upgraders don't get all the
manuals that come in the retail package.  Four or five manuals are
left out.  The upgrade is $139 and if you want the missing manuals
they are an extra $140.  I was told the manuals were in on-line form
for upgraders.  Retail package comes with both.

I don't have disk space for this kind of crap.  On-line help is nice
but it is a disk pig and I like real paper.  I want the damn manuals!
I guess I will have to wait and see what Egghead/Fry's/CompUSA want
for the full package.  Many times they are so close to the upgrade
prices it is worth starting all over.
