How to display an icon read from a file ??

I've asked this question before, but didn't get any answer.

I want to read a file representing an icon (a *.ico file) and to display
the icon on the screen.

Is there an easy way to do this, or do I have to read the icon (a bitmap)
from the file, do som BitBlt's etc. ???

Any hints are appreciated.

Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait
for it, just... let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store,
a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee.
