I've entered in, compiled and linked sysmets3.c from Charles Petzold's Windows book, but I can't get it to run sucessfully. The point of the program is to display the horizontal scroll bar. My .exe displays it after ShowWindow() ShowWindow() erases the client area before exiting but it is also erasing the horizontal scroll bar. My scroll range should be nonzrero as this is a program example written by Petzoldexpressly to display the horizontal scroll bar. I've checked the factors that set the value of the horizontal scroll bar range and they look good, i.e. look exactly like Petzolds code. Does anyone have a clue?
