Testing for disk in drive A:

Hi

I'm writing an application for Windows (using BC++) which needs to check
for the existence of a floppy disk in drive A:. I have tried using
getdfree(1,&info) but if no disk is present, Windows displays a dialog
box with a text like "System error - cannot acces drive a:" or something
like that. Basically what I want is to be able to do my own error handling
(in a more user friendly way :) ). Is this possible?? If not does anyone
know how to get rid of the dialog Windows displays? Problem is that if I
inserts a disk in response to the error message and selects "retry", the dialog
stays on display while my program does its copying or whatever. Only when
my program again sits idle does the dialog box go away - very annoying.

I would appreciate any help on this very much - thanks.

	Ole
