Hello, Think C on the Mac has a "member" function to test object membership in a class. It is defined as follows: char member(void *anObject, void* aClass); The function returns 1 if anObject is an instance of aClass or an instance of one of aClass' ancestors. Otherwise, it returns zero. Is there a similar function in Borland C++ (3.0)? If not (which is the way it looks to me), do instances of objects carry around a class reference number? If so, is there any way to get a class ref. number from a class name? Any help/ideas is/are appreciated. ========================================================================== Douglas Doe NorTel Technology Centre dgdoe@wampyr.cc.uow.edu.au University of Wollongong, Australia ==========================================================================
