In article <1992Apr14.191536.19337@daffy.cs.wisc.edu>, you write: |> Hi, |> I am trying to make one of my program windows stay on top all the |> time (i.e. it should not be overlapped by another window). |> |> I know the Windows Help has this option of "Always on top." Does |> anyone out there have any idea how to do that? |> |> Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |> |> - cjin pheow |> |> PS: I'm using Windows 3.1 |> If you wrote that program, there are several ways to do (on Windows 3.0), but the simplest way is use a timer event. For example, you can set a timer message for every 1 second. When your application receives this message, check the current active window. If it's not your window, call this function: ShowWindow(hWnd, SW_SHOWNA); This will bring your window on top while the active window is still unchanged. Anyway, I also wrote a program that made one (any) parent window always on top (for Windows 3.0). This program is public domain. If you want, I will send it to you. (I want a feedback about my program on Windows 3.1. :)) Natawut Nupairoj nupairoj@cps.msu.edu
