I need a custom Win 3.1 printer driver written. We have two PostScript printers connected to a Buffalo printer sharer, used by a number of PCs. The two printers have a total of 5 paper trays, and I need to treat them as a single, 5-tray, PostScript printer in Windows. Three of the trays contain various letterheads, and it's routine to need to have a single WfW file have to print page 1 to one printer, page 2 to a different tray on the other printer, then the rest to another tray back on the first printer... There is a simple 7-character sequence used to select one printer or the other. These selection sequences can be placed anywhere, subject only to the printers each ending up with a proper PostScript file. In addition, since print speed is not a critical concern and adequate disk space is available, it would be fine to use multiple workfiles and reassemble them into separate print jobs to be routed to the individual printers/trays. All that really matters is combining the two into a single "virtual" PostScript printer. If you have source for a Win3 PostScript printer driver and would like to license it to me, or if you would be interested in doing the customizing yourself, please contact me at jkb@s.ms.uky.edu. I am also interested in hearing from people who can do custom WPD files for the existing PSCRIPT.DRV (for another project). Thanks! Keith Burton
