Has anyone done any comparisons concerning the speed of drawing text
using the SDK routines versus bitmap copies (one character at a time)
to draw text? My gut feeling is that the SDK text drawing routines
*must* be optimized like mad, but as performance is key in this application,
any sorts of time trials would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
