There's at least one company that sells a package for Unix/X Windows that provides an MS Windows API, so that you can port MS Windows applications to Unix. Is there anything like this for the Apple Macintosh? I.e., a library for the Mac that provides the MS Windows function calls and converts these into the appropriate calls for displaying on a Mac. Please reply by E-mail, I don't usually read this newsgroup. Bob Wilber rew@lightstn.com

I have heard of none. However, there is a library that implements
a lot of the Mac's functionality for MS Windows; it was used to
port the application "Painter."

No, post it, please. Bob should start reading it. I think that there are quite a few others, myself included, who would like an answer to this one.
