Would anyone happen to know how to restore a Multiple Document Interface once it has been unloaded. What I want to do is this: I have an MDI. It can have both Icons as well as Child Windows on it. When the user exits the program, he can have the option of saving the "Layout" of the screen. Then when the program is started again the screen will be EXACTLY restored to how it was when he left. (This is what the Program Manager does.) I can handle all of the Child Windows (non-minimized) just fine. I can handle all minimized Windows (Icons), but I don't know how to place the Icons in a specific location. When I try to "move" an Icon, I get an error stating that you cannot move a minized window or something like that. I am hoping there is an API call or something I can do to accomplish this. It must be possible, right? Because I see eveytime I use Windows 3.x. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
