Help! Windows DPMI calls to CAS Manager.

Hello,

I need help from your guyes who knows Intel's CAS (Communicating
Applications Specification) Manager.

I am currently working on a Windows program that makes use of Intel's
CAS Manager that comes with every SatisFAXion board.

CAS Manager is TSR program that provide software services via int2f.

My Windows makes calls to the CAS function via DPMI
simulate-real-mode function (function 300h).

With the following code:

	int  fd;
	int  event;
	long pos;

	event = CASFindFirst(...);
	.
	.
	fd = CASOpenFile(Event, 0, RECEIVE_QUEUE);
	if (fd != -1)
		pos = _llseek(fd, 0, 0);

The value of pos is always -1, if I have a application with a clock,
such as CLOCK.EXE, or HP's DASHBOARD. But it is OK, if I don't have
any clock application running, at least after one or two tries.
(All the CAS C-funcition interface calls used in this program is
coded using DPMI spec, i.e. using the simulate real mode interrupt,
function 300h).

Looks like I am running into some kind of racing condition.

Does any one have experience with this kind of problem before? I need
all the help I need.

Thanks in advance.

Dahai Li

P.S
	I did try to FAX the problem to Intel's CAS-ISD support, but
they seem to be too busy to answer :-(. Why cannot they have voice
line for technical support, like every one else.
