There are a couple of options that I know of: 1) The Microsoft Multimedia Development Kit includes a program called CONVERT. It offers AIFF as one of its options for source files. Having never used its conversion filter I cannot comment on whether or not it works though. 2) I released a freeware (though not PD) program called "To Wave" that will add a Wave file header to _any_ input file. The input file doesn't even have to be a sound :-) You basically just select the appropriate flags for the output file (e.g. 11Khz, 8bit, Mono) and select the files that you want converted. It is available on Compu$erve in the WINADV forum and it should be a short download. "To Wave" isn't the best solution in the world but it works for any source format as long as the original sound isn't at a sampling rate other than 11, 22, or 44Khz or compressed. John "I can never remember funny quotes" Munsch P.S. Maybe somebody else knows if "To Wave" has been made available for FTP somewhere. I don't have access myself.
