I'm trying to hookup 2 BocaModem 14.4 modems using Procomm for Windows. Are there any restrictions regarding setting up the serial port speeds in Windows 3.1? I'd like to use the v42bis compression/correction protocol and the modem recommends using 57,600bps for the serial port baud rate. Will this work properly or is it too fast for Windows 3.1 on a 386?? Also, I setup the com1 port using the control panel to 57600 by typing this value in (it is not available from the speed selection list). Is it ok to do this? Richard Koop rjkoop@business.carleton.ca
