I am running MS Windows 3.1 in 1024x768 w/ 256 colors mode. However, my
screen has an annoying flicker that I can't seem to get rid of. I have
a Diamond SpeedSTAR SuperVGA graphics card w/ 1 meg ram and am using an
Optiquest 1000 monitor. According to the docs the monitor can support
any vertical frequency from 47-90 Hz (either interlaced or non-int.) and
the card can support both 60 & 70 Hz in non-interlaced 1024x768 Mode.
But, when I try these settings on the card, the monitor becomes fuzzy and
blurry. In order to use 1024x768 mode, I am running at 44 Hz (interlaced).
Does anyone use Win 3.1 with a similar setup ? Can you e-mail me how you
have your sys configured.
Does anyone know the sync polarities for the Optiquest 1000 or what monitors
it emulates ?
E-mail me if you have any suggestions or questions. THANKS !!!
