Windows 3.1 problems, please help!

Hi,
  Recently, I installed Windows 3.1 and then I installed Adobe TypeManager 2.0 & Type
Align (1.0?).  Everything looked fine during the installation.  But after I exited,
I couldn't enter Windows.  I found that if I removed a line added by Type Align in
win.ini:
  load=c:\typealgn\talgndll.exe
Then everything looks fine now.   Can anyone tell me why?  Did I screw up something?
  Another problem.  After this, I installed Word for Windows 2.0.  It works fine
except the equation editor.  The editor can't find MS EXTRA and Fence fonts.  I did
the same installation as I did in Windows 3.0.  But why doesn't equation editor work?
