hi everyone!

last night, i installed Windows 3.1 on my PC...but alas...it won't startup!!!

well, i have a 386-33DX PC with 4MB of RAM and an 80MB harddisk with about
10MB free space, a Trident VGA card (1MB) and I was using WINSPEED to boost
the resolution to 800x600.

well, after going through all the installation, i tried to reboot and restart
windows...but is gave an error saying:

KERNEL: Insufficient DPMI server

or something like that.  i can run windows in standard mode, but then i can't
get any dos sessions on that...i really wanna do it in enhanced mode...
so whats the problem...?

me config.sys has these lines in them:
device=c:\windows\himem.sys
device=c:\windows\emm386.exe 1024
device=c:\util\tansi.sys   (trident device driver)
device=c:\windows\ega.sys  (needed for winspeed i think)
dos=high,umb
files=40
buffers=20
stacks=9,256
switch=/w
shell=c:\command.com /p /e:512 /f



my autoexec.bat has these lines in them:
c:\windows\smartdrv 1024 512
doskey



so does anyone have any idea what went wrong?
