I have a 486DX/50 8MB, Dos 5.0, Win 3.1, Trident 8900C 1MB SVGA, and I
haven't noticed any problems with the Trident 800x600x256 driver that
I have currently installed (though I can't remember exactly which one
is installed, as several were supplied).
As an aside, I ran the Texas Instruments 'Wintach' benchmark program
(this tests various features of graphics performance - ie 'typical'
spreadsheet, wordprocessing, painting operations)
and tried ALL the trident drivers, and on the spreadsheet tests
I found that some drivers did show up spurious lines on the display.
In practice, I have had no problems at all.
