One of my friend in high school asks me information about Windows 3.1 because
he is helping his teacher to install windows 3.1 into the computer system in
his high school.  Though I am a computer science student, I don't know too 
much about windows 3.1.  He sets up some questions for me to answer.
Though some of the questions, I think, do not make much sense, I list all 
them out if anyone can help me.

His high school is now using 286 as terminals (about 30 terminals) and using
a 386, 8M on board, as a file server.  It has a hard disk about 150M.  The
whole system uses novell network.  The questions are as follow.

1.  what is the technical capabilities of windows 3.1?  What does it allow
    users to do and what types of data that can be handled?

2.  What are the applications of windows 3.1 in the system?

3.  What important effects would windows 3.1 has on the information processing
    cycle of the system?  How and why they are affected?

4.  What would be the effect of the introduction of windows 3.1 on the 
    procedures for coordinating the system and controlling information flow?
    Which procedures have to be changed and why?

5.  What effects does windows 3.1 has on the efficiency and effectiveness
    of the system?


6.  After all, as a computer network system mentions above, how should he set
    up the system to make it most effective and efficiency?


These questions might not make too much sense but I think what my friend wants
is some information about windows 3.1, so that he can make a decision.  

Any information about it would be help!!
