I like to have UUPoll, a poller for UUPC running in the Windows background at all times. If I'm running another comm program, and UUPoll makes a call, Windows reports device contention on the comm port. Under OS/2, you can indicate that an application locks the comm port, so that a second program is denied its use. Can I do something similar in Windows? I don't like to see the device contention message -- I'd like UUPoll NOT to get use of the comm port until I'm done with the other program. -- Paul ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | Paul Steckler | Were I Brittania, | | steck@dworkin.ccs.northeastern.edu | I'd waive the rules ... | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | Paul Steckler | Were I Brittania, | | steck@dworkin.ccs.northeastern.edu | I'd waive the rules ... | -----------------------------------------------------------------------
