We're happy to announce the creation of a new mailing list for users and
developers of Parallax products, such as their XVideo boards.  This
mailing list is unmoderated, and publicly accessible.  Discussion would
be along the same lines as any comp.sys newsgroup, although hopefully
not as high-bandwidth.

We also have a mailing list for discussing MPEG, and various issues
surrounding it, including discussion of the Berkeley MPEG Player.  This
mailing list is moderated, and publicly accessible.

If you'd like to subscribe, we have an automated system for you to use
(Majordomo by Brent Chapman).  Just send a message to:

    Majordomo@roger-rabbit.CS.Berkeley.EDU

With the line:

    subscribe parallax
and/or
    subscribe mpeg-list

Somewhere in the body.  You can also just reply to this posting
with your commands.

This will subscribe the account from which you send the message to
parallax or mpeg-list.

If you wish to subscribe another address instead (such as a local
redistribution list), you can use a command of the form:

	subscribe parallax other-address@your_site.your_net

To find out more about the automated server, send the following command:
